O u r P h i l o s o p h y
Amuse Bouche is a joint venture between Amelia Gordon and Tamsin
Duxfield based in South West London. We have been in business
now for three years and have built up a loyal base of both corporate
and private clients. Our high profile corporate clients so far
have included Burberry, Armani, Warner Bros. and Multiplex Construction.
We offer stylish, innovative and quality food at competitive
prices combined with an efficient and flexible service. We are
still small enough to be able to give a truly personalised service
but we pride ourselves on keeping abreast of new food trends
so we can deliver cutting edge catering every time.
When we set up Amuse Bouche we were determined to offer a different
style of catering service. To most people, outside catering conjures
up images of large scale buffets in marquees or cocktail parties
for hundreds of people with an army of waiting staff. We want
to make catering more accessible and less rigid. In addition
to those looking for caterers for a specific occasion, our clients
are people who appreciate good food but are too busy to spend
hours in the kitchen, we allow them to entertain in their own
homes without resorting to supermarket “ready food”!
We regularly cater for small events like a birthday party for
20 people, a photographic shoot or an informal supper for friends.
For this type of event we encourage people to consider our drop
off option as a less expensive alternative to a fully staffed
event, we deliver the food and spend a few minutes at the venue
presenting the food on our serving platters and collect the equipment
the next day – you can even pass the food off as your own!
At Amuse Bouche we believe there are no rules about the kind
of food you should serve at any given event. Whilst we offer
extensive suggested menus to cover every conceivable occasion,
we are also more than happy to devise a themed menu on request.
We also recommend that you browse the entire site before deciding
what kind of food to serve. Canapés, whilst traditionally
regarded as a pre dinner-cocktail nibble, are also fantastic
to serve throughout a party, Wedding Breakfast or as a light
lunch. We sometimes prepare our canapés larger
to satisfy healthy appetites during a lunch meeting, for example.
We are particularly proud of our Grazing Platters, which make
a stylish alternative to a traditional buffet lunch or perfect
for a Girls Night In or Hen Night. Recently we have noticed a
revival of the traditional English tea. A selection of baby scones
and pastel iced fairy cakes together with dainty sandwiches and
mini crème brulees is fabulous for a wedding, christening
or “Baby Shower” and you can serve champagne alongside
the Earl Grey!
O u r S e r v i c eThis website is designed to give you a flavour of the kind of
food we offer. If the menus appeal please contact us and we will
send you a copy of our full menu selection. We tend to tailor
make menus for individual clients so give us as much information
as you can about what kind of food you like, the available cooking
facilities and your preferred budget and we will come up with
some suggestions.
All prices include chefs’ preparation time but if you
wish to have chefs and waiting staff at your event, there will
be an additional charge. Alternatively, we can drop the food
off and collect the dishes the next day in which case there will
be a delivery charge. Certain dishes are not suitable for dropping
off if they require last minute cooking. Prices are quoted as
a guide only. The final price will depend on numbers and the
menu chosen.
In association with Corney and Barrow Wine Merchants, we are
able to offer a comprehensive selection of wines and Champagne
to enjoy with your food and can advise on suitable choices. We
can also arrange hire of linen, glasses and waiting
staff if required.
